Sample Characters - London
Sample characters for you to play with. You can find the rules of the game here. I’m still dicking around with them so adjust the numbers as they suit you. These guys all work for the Phantasmological Society.
Edmund Tooley, gamekeeper. Shotgun, telescope, deerstalker hat (only worn while actually stalking deer). Abandoned his job on a Scottish estate out of moral outrage at the laird’s treatment of a serving girl who drowned herself in a loch. Laird later perished in what the coroner found to be an ordinary hunting accident. Now in London, looking for work. Can set traps and track wild beasts across moors.

Reginald Polyppe-Knox, upper-class twit. Monocle, receding chin, perfectly pressed tailcoat, not as rich as you’d expect. Plan to marry the daughter of an American millionaire recently fell through when she discovered his private correspondence with an old school chum named Bunny (perfectly innocent, I assure you, my dear) and decided to elope with the butler. Aunts everywhere. Never runs out of aunts.

Blacklisted from the mines due to a little accident involving a cartridge of blasting powder and the boss’s car, for which he was lucky not to be prosecuted. Not as funny as he thinks he is. Always complaining that times is tough for the working man.

Great booming voice that carries to the very back of a lecture hall and startles undergraduates out of their slumber. Picks fights over trivial details and never admits he’s wrong. Long rambling stories, wild theories that he insists are obviously true until the moment they’re not. “When I was in Egypt, young man…”
